Vasan Charitable Trust (VCT) is the social arm (CSR) of Vikatan Group of companies. It was founded by Mr. S .S. Vasan in 1968 with the purpose of ‘Giving Back’ to the society. Our main focus is in the area of health care, educational support, livelihood enhancement and environmental protection. Apart from relief intervention and disaster management, Scholarships and Medical aid is been given regularly to the meritorious and deserving candidates periodically.
Unlike other companies, VCT follows a direct intervention strategy. Through the support of our reporters around Tamil Nadu, neediest and vulnerable individuals, families or communities who are approaching us, are being supported in terms of their need. We strive to reach the unreached and enhance their livelihood along with the support of our trusted readers.
In addition to carrying normal activities of the Trust, we undertake special relief work through general public contribution and with that of ‘Vikatan Readers’, in particular.

To advance the knowledge and education for the relief of the poor, medical relief and carrying out activities involving general public utility without any distinction of caste or creed.
